Musical Productions

Here at Harmony Studios, we present up to three musical performances a year.  Past performances include Annie Jr., Aladdin Jr., The Little Mermaid Jr., A Broadway Revue, and many the like. We typically have one musical in the spring, one in the summer, and one in the fall.  We are a family-oriented studio and expect parents to volunteer by helping with hospitality, concessions, ticket sales, set design/construction, and various other needs. The process for getting involved in our musical is as follows:

  • Auditions

    • $30 registration fee

    • 8 measures (45 seconds) of a Broadway song that best showcases your range and talent

    • A monologue related to current show, provided

    • First time performers can use their audition to meet Harmony, gain a better understanding of how they can be a part of the show and get help from Harmony to showcase their talent

  • Rehearsals

    • Tuesday/Thursday 5:00-6:50 approx. 3 months prior to show date

    • Saturdays 1 month prior to show date

    • Production Fee - currently $325, subject to change

    • Tech Week Dinners - (optional) $25

    • T-Shirt Fee - $25

  • Tech Week

    • Saturday before the first show, every evening the week of the shows

    • Dress rehearsal

  • Performance

    • Typically 3 shows consisting of Friday night, Saturday matinee and Saturday night

More information about our current show can be found here.

  • Stage Crew

Everyone knows that a lot of the work put into any event goes on behind the scenes, done by people who most of the public will never see. A children's theater production is no different!  Some love the spotlight and some love just holding it.  Our productions allow those who prefer to be backstage to play an integral role in the success of our performance.  First, there's all the preparation prior to the show - set design and painting, creating props, picking costumes, and setting up the stage.  Then, during the show, stage crew helps with lighting, sound, backstage direction, and even make-up/hair.  The kids who participate on our stage crew are an integral part of the cast and have a great opportunity to learn what it takes to make our musicals successful. Space is limited but we welcome any interest in finding helpers for our upcoming production!
